Our Story

Hi, I’m Imoni! I’m a student at The John Cooper School in The Woodlands, Texas, and I started Bound by Books because I’ve always believed in reading and its powerful effects.

Growing up, books were a sort of escape for me. They helped me see new perspectives, imagine new worlds, and understand people in ways that I could never do in real life. However, I started to realize that not every kid has that same opportunity. In fact those in my area, Montgomery County, often don’t have easy access to libraries or can’t get a ride to places where books are available. That’s where Bound by Books comes in.

My goal is simple: to collect donated books and bring them directly to the students and schools that need them most. I want to make sure that every child, no matter where they live or what their situation is, has the chance to fall in love with reading the way I did.

This project isn’t just about books, but it’s about what’s possible. And as Bound by Books grows, I’ll be sharing updates here about book drives, partnerships, and ways you can get involved. Together, we can build a more connected and literate community-one book at a time.
